The BBDL places community, friendship, and connection at the heart of everything we do.

Our tour aims to bring players together across regions and countries, creating an open and friendly atmosphere where people can enjoy disc golf, meet new friends, and communicate across borders. We believe that fair competition becomes even stronger when it is built on a true sense of community.

At the same time, the BBDL is a performance-based disc golf tour played in the official PDGA Color Divisions. Every player competes in the division that matches their skill level. This creates fair, exciting, and balanced tournaments. Our tournaments are following clear standards to ensure fair, consistent, and enjoyable tournaments for all players. These rules focus on performance, fair play, and the international spirit of the league.

Players without an active PDGA Rating are also welcome. To keep results fair and comparable, they start in the Gold Division. Once they receive a PDGA Rating during the season, they move to their correct rating-based division.

This clear division system also helps new players join the BBDL and understand where they fit best — whether they already have a PDGA Rating or not.

That makes every tournament fair, exciting, and enjoyable for all players, while celebrating international friendship and sport.

Tournament Format & Rounds

  • Each BBDL tournament is PDGA rated – at least as a PDGA C-Tier.
  • So each BBDL Tournament will take at least two rounds, each with at least 18 up to 21 holes.
  • Usually, BBDL-tournaments last one day, but they can also last two days with up to three rounds.

Live Scoring

Live scoring with PDGA Live is mandatory for players and is the official scoring system.

Registration & Tournament Management

  • Registration and tournament management will be done via Discgolfmetrix.
  • Registration follows the first come, first served rule. Spots are assigned by the Tournament Director.
  • Players must pay their entry fee within 7 days. If not paid, the spot becomes available for other players.

No Wildcards

There are no Wildcards at BBDL tournaments.

Division Rules

  • For BBDL tournaments, the rule “Pros playing AM is allowed” applies — players with a PDGA Pro membership may also play in amateur divisions.
  • Division classification follows PDGA standards, using color divisions. Divisions are based on performance, independent of age or gender.
  • Players without a PDGA rating must play in the Gold Division, regardless of which division they signed up for. Once they have a PDGA rating, they can move to the division that matches their rating. Otherwise, they continue in the Gold Division for overall points.
  • To ensure fair scoring, players with a PDGA rating must play in the division that corresponds to their rating on the day before the tournament.
  • Note: The Blue Division (Rating < 970 and > 935) is not offered. Players in this range are merged with the Gold Division (≥ 970) due to the small number of players.

Scoring & Overall Season Ranking (OSR)

  • To determine the BBDL Overall Champions of the season, a ranking system is used that includes all offered divisions.
  • Players in the overall ranking receive points based on their placement within their division at each tournament.
  • Points are awarded according to a fixed table (explained here).
  • Only the best results — the highest point totals from a set number of tournaments — count toward the overall ranking. The number of counting tournaments depends on how many BBDL events are held in that season.
  • 15 Players with the most points at the end of the final tournament will be honored as BBDL Overall Season Champions and the best of them will claim the unique BBDL-Challenge Trophy!

Player Package

  • Players receive a Player Package at each tournament.
  • The total value of the package will be at least €20.

Ace Pool

  • Each tournament has an Ace Pool.
  • Fee: €1 per player (included in entry fee).
  • The prize is always paid out. If no ace is hit, the prize is played for during the “Last Throw” contest.

CTP Contest in each Division

  • Each division has one CTP contest over all rounds.
  • Fee: €1 per player (included in entry fee).
  • Prizes go to the winner of each division, if inside Circle 1.

“Last Throw” Contest

  • The “Last Throw” contest replaces the former lottery.
  • It is a short, fun throw event where everyone has a chance to win something.
  • Fee: €1 per player (included in entry fee).

Fair Play & Organization

  • Every player is expected to follow the PDGA rules and respect all participants.
  • Courses are prepared to be challenging but safe, testing different skills.
  • Tournaments are organized consistently to ensure smooth play, clear communication, and fair scoring.

International Spirit

  • BBDL is about more than competition. It encourages friendship, cultural exchange, and fun across borders.
  • Players from all countries are welcome, and the focus is on enjoying the game while meeting new people and sharing experiences.
