Participation Requirements

Participation in BBDL tournaments is open to everyone.

For BBDL tournaments, the rule “Pros playing AM is allowed” applies — meaning that players with a Pro membership in the PDGA may also play in amateur divisions.

A PDGA membership is not required, but it is strongly recommended to ensure players are placed in the correct skill division. Players without a PDGA rating will automatically start in the highest division.

Participation Rules / Liability Waiver

General Rules and Information

From our experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have learned that the conditions for organizing sports events can change suddenly and unpredictably. Because we, the organizing clubs, cannot foresee the future, there may be situations where tournaments cannot take place as planned. It is also possible that new restrictions may appear which make it impossible or unreasonable for us to hold the tournament.

For this reason, we reserve the right to cancel the tournament at any time before it starts, or to change the rules and conditions for participation up until the tournament ends, if necessary.

To take part in any BBDL tournament, every participant must follow all laws and regulations that apply in the relevant countries at the time of the event. Participants must also follow all rules given by the organizers.

Scope of BBDL Activities Covered by These Conditions

For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, the phrase “tournaments of the BBDL” includes all activities connected to the event, not only the main competition rounds. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • official side-events such as doubles competitions, glow rounds, skills challenges, or any other additional contests,
  • practice rounds, warm-up sessions, briefings, and demonstrations,
  • pre-event and post-event activities, meetings, gatherings, and award ceremonies,
  • travel to and from the event locations,
  • any time spent at areas used or provided by the organizers (courses, camps, practice fields, temporary facilities, etc.).

All rules, responsibilities, and liability waivers described in this document apply equally to these activities, regardless of whether they take place before, during, or after the main tournament rounds.

d) All players must take personal responsibility for any damage to other persons.
